How to Measure Conversion on B2B Service Pages

A framework for measuring the B2B journey from service-page engagement to qualified opportunity with GA4, GTM, and sales data.

Separate micro and primary conversions

Service CTA clicks, email links, phone clicks, and form starts are interest signals. A successful submission and a qualified sales conversation are stronger outcomes. Combining them can overstate performance.

Define what each event means in the journey and which team decision it supports.

Create a consistent data-layer contract

Standardise event names and parameters between application code and measurement tools. Page path, language, service identifier, service slug, and destination make events comparable across pages.

Send form success only after the server confirms completion, not when the submit button is clicked; otherwise errors become false conversions.

Connect analytics with sales quality

GA4 and GTM describe behavior but cannot determine whether an inquiry fits the business. Carry source, landing page, service, and language context into the form or CRM record.

Evaluate pages by search intent, service group, and qualified-inquiry outcome rather than one raw conversion rate.
